Make Your Space Feel More Comfortable with Shaggy Rugs

Although shaggy rugs were largely used on the floor in decades past, there is no reason why they should stay there. There are many benefits to using a shaggy rug in any space. These rugs, which are known for their long, plush fibers, are incredibly soft making them the perfect material to walk and sit on. Not only do shaggy rugs feel soft, but they have a unique appearance that is sure to be a conversation starter in any room. Laying one of these rugs down in a room creates a layer of softness for the feet and hands as well as an interesting vocal point for the eyes.

Underfoot Feel
There are many rug options people can choose from, but none are as soft as the shaggy rug. Shaggy rugs are made with a thick and soft pile of fibers so the feet just sink right into the carpet as they walk across the rug. These rugs just beg to be walked on, and are even soft and comfortable enough for people to sit down on. It is easy to gravitate from the couch onto the floor because this type of rug is so inviting.

Shaggy rugs not only feel soft to walk on and touch, but because they are so thick they actually appear soft to the eye. If there is a place in one's home that could use a touch of softness in its decor this is a great way to incorporate it. Some rooms have high ceilings while other spaces just feel cold because they are decorated in cool or neutral colors with minimal design. By adding shaggy rugs to these types of spaces people can create a softer, more inviting atmosphere without adding a lot of extra clutter. While the shaggy rug only takes up a small amount of floor space, it can add a significant amount of comfort to a room.
